July 31: It is time for the Janine's Frostee Annual Car Show. This year from 10A – 2P. Food specials, trophies, prizes, raffles for charity and a "Live Broadcast" from Real Oldies 1250 radio with DJ Bruce Marshall. The lot will open up around 9 to allow cars to get a good spot and prepare them for showing. Judging will be from 11-1pm, with all prizes being awarded by 2pm. Rain date is Aug 1st. August 1: 2nd Annual Canines for Combat Veterans Poker Run with registration at 8:30 - 10. $20 per rider, $10 per passenger. All proceeds benefit NEADS Canine for Combat Veterans program. Begin and end at American Legion Post 224 in Easthampton, MA. Lunch, music and raffles after the ride. August 1: 3rd Annual Car Show and Swap Meet in honor of Jaime Rivera ('74-'07) 9 - 4 with a rain date of August 8th at Agawam High School, 760 Cooper Street in Agawam, MA. Cars are $10, spectators are $3, under 12 is free. Swap meet - $15 in advance, day of show $25. Trophies for top 25 and best of show dash plaques to first 100. Food, ice cream, music, raffles, door prizes, kid's door prizes, t-shirts will be available for sale. Judging starts at 11AM, raffles at 1PM. August 7: Car and Motorcycle Show at Sunsetview Farm Camping Area in Monson. Food, music, clean facilities, 50/50 raffle to enefit ACS Relay for Life. Registration at 10 AM, fee is $5. August 8: Westfield Cruisers presents 4th Annual Wheels and Whiskers benefit car show in memory of Ann Grzebien. From 9 - 3 at Mestek Field, 260 North Elm St in Westfield. Rain date of August 29. August 21: Honoring our Veterans and in memory of Ray Elton (founder of cruise nights). At the Holyoke Soldier's Home, 110 Cherry Street in Holyoke. 4 PM to dusk, food and raffles, trophies to top 3 cars, judging to be done by veterans. August 22: Melha Riders 4th Annual Hospital Run Line up at 10 AM at Westwood Restaurant, 94 North Elm Street in Westfield, ride at noon. After party at the Melha Shrine Center, 133 Longhill Street in Spfld. All proceeds benefit Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield.
Sept 11: Orange Airport Dragstrip Reunion FMI visit: http://johnscustomrods.com Admission is $10 person (kids under 12 half price), $40 per vendor/swap space (includes one guest) The reunion is an open house affair, no pre-registration is required, everyone is welcome and it's open to all pre-71 street and race vehicles. There's plenty of on site parking for show cars, trailers and spectators as well as a large vendor and swap meet area. Quality food and soft drinks will be available on site for breakfast and lunch meals served by local organizations. Aviation fuel will be available on site, bring proper fuel containers. Please leave your pets at home.
Sept 12: 9th Annual Rotary Classic Car Show at BJ's Plaza in Chicopee (exit 5 off MA Pike). Dash plaques for the first 100 show cars, registration begins at 9, judging starts at noon, trophies awared at 3. Goodie bags for all show cars.
